Lithuania is the biggest of the three Baltic countries on the shore of the Baltic Sea. Lithuania shares borders with Latvia, Belarus, Poland and Russia (Kaliningrad). The country is full of preserved natural landscapes, woods, lakes and rivers, and has a unique seashore with the Curonian Spit, a sandy peninsula, isolating the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea.
As one of the last countries in Europe to be Christianised, Lithuania has preserved many pagan and folk traditions that are still alive in villages. On the other hand, bigger cities are rich with vibrant cultural life and endless entertainment opportunities.
